Lightroom presets are essentially one-click “filters” for your photos to make them look a certain way. There are many specific adjustments made and saved to create each of the presets that you can adjust yourself once you install the preset into Adobe Lightroom. 

You will need to have Lightroom Classic for desktop.

Adobe recently changed their preset file format in their latest version of Lightroom CC 7.3 + from .lrtemplate to .xmp however the .lrtemplate file format still works on the new versions of Lightroom thus our presets are designed in the original .lrtemplate file format.

I shoot in RAW which is what I would recommend for getting the most out of the presets, however they will still work fine on JPEG images. 

Additionally, the presets will work differently on different photos because of different factors such as lighting, white balance, skin tones, etc. Because of this, you will need to tweak the adjustments once you apply the preset so that you achieve the look you want. You may need to make the image brighter, or pull in more shadows, or adjust the white balance. 

I will be creating a lightroom editing tutorial soon that will help with these types of situations but in the mean time play around with the adjustments and have fun. These presets are meant to be a starting point for your own personal creativity.

It’s a little different importing and using the mobile Lightroom presets than desktop, BUT I have provided a very easy step by step guide included in the folder of the presets when you purchase and download it. I will also have a tutorial that you can watch to see how easy it is.

1. Open Lightroom.

2. Go to: Edit > Preferences > Presets.

3. Click on the box titled: Show Lightroom Presets Folder.

4. Double click on Lightroom.

5. Double click on Develop Presets.

6. Copy the folder(s) of your presets into the Develop Presets folder.

7. Restart Lightroom.

You may also be able to simply drag and drop them into the User Presets folder in Develop, or click the little plus sign on the Preset folder that will say import presets, depending on what version of Lightroom you have. 

If you are still having trouble, I suggest watching some tutorials on Youtube. 

RAW photo files always work best with Lightroom as it can access more of the photos data, so if you're shooting with a DSLR or high-quality point & shoot, you should switch your setting to RAW. 
If you are editing phone photos, all of the presets are made to work well with JPEG photos & iPhone photos (doesn't need to be high res!)
